What does a compliant rainscreen facade look like?

A ventilated facade is a construction method for facades that incorporates a cavity between the insulation and the facade cladding. This cavity, which is open at the top and bottom of the cladding and has open joints, allows for natural ventilation of the facade. It can be likened to a raincoat: protecting a building from the weather while promoting a healthy indoor climate. 

A ventilated facade offers numerous advantages, both in new construction and retrofit refurbishment projects. It is lighter and quicker to install than other options, resulting in cost savings during construction. Individual panels can be easily removed for maintenance, and the entire facade can be replaced with minimal disruption to the building's occupants. In the case of Rockpanel facades, materials can be fully recycled into new products without any loss of quality.
